This type of roller is usually used on wet and/or clay-type earth and in challenging work conditions; at the same time it does not compact the ground and facilitates circulation of the air between the clods. Use of this roller is recommended on deeply ploughed soil. Adjusting the roller it is possible to choose the work depth. Adjustment can be performed both manually and hydraulically.
